Footholds are found in rocks and a path is gingerly picked out to the water. Maybe it's not the best idea to do this in a long dress and flip flops, but it could be worse; at least they're not high heels.
Breezes blow ripples across the lake; it's just a few degree cooler down here. Just a few, but it takes the edge off the 30+ degree heat.
Dresses are hiked up around thighs and feet just miss the water. Reach as the waves crest, pull back because it's far too cold. How is it possible that the air is so thick with heat but the water is so cold? It's too humid for physics and I really don't care anyway.
Pages of a book turn and laughter rings out every two paragraphs. I like this book because it's about home that wasn't home and is now home again. Bill Bryson is one of the funniest writers around.
Starbucks Green Tea Lemonade is the greatest drink in the world. It makes me happy.

The day is beautiful and life is wonderful and I am and always will be blessed beyond measure.
